Researchers on Lake Superior's Park Point in Duluth, Minnesota, are studying dangerous currents and extreme wave swells, aiming to enhance public safety. Their project involves deploying various sensors, Spotter buoys, and fluorescent dye to predict and prevent hidden hazards, which contribute to an average of 11 drownings and 23 rescues annually across the Great Lakes.
