Webinar: Building Australia’s national network of Spotter buoys to unlock real-time coastal data at scale

Sofar Ocean

In this Marine Technology Society (MTS) webinar, Jarrah Orphin (Sofar Ocean), Dr. Michael Cuttler (The University of Western Australia), and Daniel Ierodiaconou (Deakin University), discuss how Australia’s Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) is creating a national-scale coastal observing and modeling system of Sofar Spotter buoys. The network will significantly expand access to real-time wave data and enable marine professionals to better understand and mitigate coastal change.

A questions and answers session follows the presentation.
